Vineyard Notes

Three clones of Syrah (1, 174, 877) from three distinctive benchland and steeply terraced hillside blocks at Michel-Schlumberger Vineyard in Dry Creek Valley.  By blending these lots, we have created a dark Syrah with layers of richly structured flavor.

Harvest:  Sept 26th to Oct 21st

Production Notes

Fermentation:  Crushed into small open top fermenters and cold-soaked for two days, the must was inoculated and fermented on the skins for two weeks to develop full rich flavor and structure.

Cooperage / Aging:  The wine was aged for 23 months in French oak barrels.

Bottling Date:  September 16, 2015
