These grapes are from three special blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon from Happy Canyon and Camp 4 vineyards at the warm eastern end of the Santa Ynez Valley in Santa Barbara County.
Harvest: October 17th
Varietal composition: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Syrah, 5% Merlot, 3% Malbec
Fermentation: Crushed into small fermenters and cold-soaked for two days, the must was inoculated and fermented on the skins for two weeks to develop full rich flavor and structure.
Cooperage / Aging: The wine was aged for 14 months in French oak barrels.
