Vineyard Notes

Clones 114, 115, and 777 were selected from the Zotovich Vineyard.  With the vineyard’s white sandy soil, and very cool climate, these grapes develop bright almost perfume-like Pinot Noir flavors

Harvest:  September 10th, 2014

Production Notes

Fermentation:  Crushed into small open top fermenters and cold-soaked for two days, the must was inoculated and fermented on the skins for two weeks to develop full rich flavor and structure.

Cooperage / Aging:   The wine was aged for 11 months in French oak barrels (20% new, 80% 2 year old).

Bottling Date:  August 18, 2015

Winemaker Notes

Color:  Deep ruby

Aromas:  Fresh berries, slightly toasty, with hint of vanilla

Palate:  Well structured, classic Santa Rita Pinot flavors, long fruit finish
