About this wine

In tightly-spaced vineyards on the steep slopes of western Dry Creek Valley, grapes ripen gradually, developing rich, ripe fruit aromas of flavors. Enjoy this Syrah with a variety of charred, grilled meats and veggies or a charcuterie platter of sausages with cheddar and gouda cheeses.

Vineyard Notes

This NOIR COLLECTION Syrah is made from grapes grown at Michel-Schlumberger vineyard in Dry Creek Valley.  Winemaker Joey Tensley carefully selected individual barrels of Syrah achieve the optimum expression of flavor for this wine.

Harvest:  Sep 12th to 15th, 2014

Production Notes

Fermentation:  The grapes were crushed into small fermenters.  After cold-soaking for three days to extract rich color, the must fermented on the skins for three weeks to obtain a richly extracted wine.

Cooperage / Aging:  Aged for 14 months in French oak barrels.

Winemaker Notes

Color:  deep ruby

Aromas:  dark plum with overtones of blueberry

Palate:  rich layers of dark fruit flavors, long fruit finish
